60" Poster on Archival Paper International automotive concourse held in the Piedmont region spa town of Acqui. Having graduated as a technical designer, Romoli entered the public sphere in 1926, primarily creating works for the Genevese printer, Barabino & Graeve, for whom he designed in excess of fifty posters between 1929 and 1962. His style of choice from the very beginning was Art Deco, an influence that became progressively more geometric as time went on. And you don't have to speak Italian to be able to tell that his poster for this international automotive concourse being held in the well known Piedmont region spa town of Acqui firmly placed it's focus on elegance. His tastefully smart design speaks a universal language all it's own.
