Size: 22" x 28" Carroll Shelby built the first mustang GT-350 in early 1965 to go SCCA racing in B Production Class. In 1967 the GT-500 with the big block 428 was offered along side the GT-350. The Shelby Mustang was continually civilized and refined into the luxo-muscle car that bowed out in 1970. Today the Shelby Mustangs are demanding incredible prices at the auto auctions. Always spelled with the distinctive backwards "K", Nickey Chevrolet in Chicago was one of the best known "super dealerships" of the muscle car era. Nickey went racing early. They started with NASCAR in 1955, then on to road racing with Dan Blocker. In 1965 Nickey went to the drag races in a car sponsored and equipped for Dick Harrell. By 1965 Nickey Chevrolet was the largest supplier of Genuine Chevrolet Parts and speed equipment parts. They had two locations by partnering with Bill Thomas in Anaheim California. the showroom in Chicago always sported a few 427 equipped Camaros and Chevelles. Size: 22" x 28"

22" x 28" Artist's Notes: Thought of as the "Doctor's Car" for years, and only one step below Cadillac, Buick became the most luxurious muscle car made. Buick entered the muscle car era in 1965 with the A-Body Gran Sport based on the Skylark. Equipped with the 401 cu. in. "nail head" it produced 325 horsepower. Horsepower was up to 340 in 1966 with a new engine casting, out classing almost all of the competition in the market...and all with Buick's creature comforts. By 1970, Buick produced one of the wildest muscle cars of the era. The "Stage One" with the 455 cu. in. 360 h.p. engine produced an astounding 455 foot pounds of tire melting torque. Buick then painted the 678 Gran Sports Apollo White or Saturn Yellow, blacked out the hood, added red pin stripes and called it the GSX. One fast car with Buick Class! "Royal Pontiac"

Designed and built to go Trans-Am racing, the Camaro Z-28 is my pick for the best all around muscle car. It all started with the high-winding 302 cu. in. engine producing an advertised 290 h.p.; add a beefed up F-41 suspension and disc brakes - suddenly you're Mark Donohue in a Penske prepared machine. In 1970 the legendary LT-1 350 cu. in. engine was the basis for the Z-28. The second generation Camaro is still one of the most eye pleasing designs out of GM studios. "Catching A Few Z's" pays homage to the great Z-28. "Red White and Big Bad Blue"
According to Denis Gage, host of television's My Classic Car, "AMC is the Rodney Dangerfield of muscle cars. They get no respect, but they should." Very few of the big three could match a well tuned 390 cu. in. engine when stuffed into a light weight Rambler Scrambler. And not many muscle cars could match the looks and drivability of the Javelin and AMX Automotive artist Dave Snyder pays respect to some of the best that came out of Kenosha. This new limited edition print depicts the used car side of the typical AMC dealership in 1972. "West Side Chevrolet"

$10.00 shipping "The Sleeper Awakes" a title taken from a headline of an ad for the 1969 Nova SS. Conceived as a Falcon fighter and born as an economy car, the Chevy II and Nova have become very collectible cars today. Buyers discovered an attractive sporty little car with the introduction of the SS in '63. In '66 Chevy lowered a 350hp 327ci motor into the engine bay and a potent street fighter was awakened. The 396 ci Nova debuted in '68 and in '69 the likes of Yenko discovered the Nova transplanting the L72 427 ci engines under the hood. Yenko described the 427 Nova as the scariest car he ever made.
