40" "Sunrise at the Glen" commemorates the Road Racing heritage of Watkins Glen, New York. I placed a pair of white Shelby Mustangs beside a fictional wall of the Watkins Glen Drug Store with its Owl Cigar sign. One of my challenges in this painting was to create the feeling of strong morning sunlight on these two cars, complete with intense reflections and long shadows. This wall was just uncovered in Pleasanton, Kansas, when a 1907 building was razed. "Thunder
